The Center for Survey Research at Academia Sinica invites applications for a full-time position at the rank of Assistant Research Specialist or above.<\/p>

\ud83d\udccc Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>

The position involves conducting data mining, knowledge extraction, and data analysis to advance the Center\u2019s research, knowledge extraction, and data analysis. Specific responsibilities include:<\/p>

  1. Analyzing the content, dissemination, and evolution of online public opinion.<\/li>
  2. Applying big data analytics and artificial intelligence methods in social science research.<\/li>
  3. Developing computational systems to enhance the sharing of knowledge and its social impact.<\/li>
  4. Act as project\/team leader, responsible for progress planning, task assignment, and performance supervision.<\/li><\/ol>

    \u00a0<\/strong>\ud83d\udccc Qualification<\/strong><\/p>

    1. Applicants must meet the qualifications specified in Article 3 of the Employment Review Guidelines for Academia Sinica Research Specialists<\/a>. Non-Taiwanese applicants with Chinese language proficiency are preferred.<\/li>
    2. A master\u2019s degree or above in a relevant field.<\/li>
    3. Areas of expertise: Information Science, Data Science, Social Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.<\/li>
    4. Technical experiences and skills in artificial intelligence methods, such as computer vision, natural language processing, and large multimodal models.<\/li>
    5. Familiarity with data structures and database technologies.<\/li>
    6. Experience in planning, executing, and managing projects or research teams, with the ability to take on management and leadership responsibilities.<\/li>
    7. Demonstrated insight and enthusiasm for academic research.<\/li>
    8. Strong logical communication skills, creativity, and a willingness to embrace challenges.<\/li><\/ol>

          This may be a doctoral or master\u2019s degree certificate, or official documentation certifying the completion of coursework and successful dissertation defense. For degrees obtained outside Taiwan, the certificate must be authenticated by the relevant Republic of China (Taiwan) overseas mission.<\/p>

          1. A photocopy of transcripts for the highest degree.<\/strong><\/li>
          2. Thesis or dissertation of the highest degree acquired (or its draft)<\/strong><\/li>
          3. Representative publications or technical reports published <\/strong>after <\/strong> 1, 2022<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>

            If the original work is in a language other than Chinese or English, an abstract in Chinese or English must be provided, with a length of no less than 3,000 words, or at least one-fifth of the original text.<\/p>
