    The Center for Survey Research (CSR), formerly the Office of Survey Research, which was founded in 1993 and reorganized in 2003, has been\u00a0 devoted to the integration of \u00a0survey research resources with the object of improving\u00a0 the efficiency of survey work and promoting the adequate\u00a0 use of data preserved in the Survey Research Data Archive (SRDA). The Panel Study of Family Dynamics project joined the \u00a0CSR in 2013, and has as its main purpose collection of panel survey data on families and investigation into the patterns of and changes in families in Chinese societies.<\/p>

    Due to the rapid development of Internet technology, \u00a0methods of data collection have become more diversified. The CSR established the \u201cCommunication Data and Network Analytics Lab (CDNA Lab)\u201d in August 2020. The main goal of CDNA is to provide a comprehensive understanding of communication behaviors related to important social issues, using triangulation of different research methods. In March 2021, the \u201cPublic Opinion and Attitudes study\u201d began to conduct repeated surveys of Taiwan\u2019s residents. Such surveys provide detailed information on happiness in daily life, and prepare the way for future development of innovative research methodology.<\/p>

    The CSR focuses on academic research, methodological practice and academic services. Based on survey research methods, we have carried out Internet public opinion exploration and research related to machine learning which is\u00a0 combined with big data, and focused on the application of method triangulation, in order to build the CSR into a think tank studying social science research methods.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    The CSR\u2019s Executive Director and Executive Secretary coordinate both administrative and research and development affairs. The \u00a0CSR is home to a total of eight\u00a0 departments with eight researchers, whose expertise spans survey methodology and social sciences, including sociology, economics, communication, education and\u00a0 statistics. In addition to conducting research on survey methods and individual topics, the research faculty also lead the implementation of research developments such as the Project on Family Dynamics in Taiwan, Communication Data and Network Analytics Lab, and Public Opinion and Attitudes Study.<\/p>

    With respect to academic services, the CSR comprises the Survey Research Operation and Development (SROD), which specializes in conducting surveys, and the Survey Research Data Archive (SRDA), which has expertise in data curation. Administrative and technical staff members provide support services and help promote academic research.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
